New Year, New Things to Report!

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Well, its a good job my resolution wasn't to blog more :o

It was however to list an ACEO a day in my etsy shop, and so far so good!

Also having a massive sale 45% off all my items from last year!!! only running until the 28th Jan so if there's something you want at a bargain price,you better get it now!!

I also joined ATC's for All which is a super cool site where you can trade ACEO's/ATC's with other people and join in on their swap games, I have just finished my entries for the

Bank Holiday Fun!

This bank holiday totally rocked, Two treasuries included me and then I made a new treasury too woohoo!



On a sad note though I went to take photos of my lollipops and realised I'd broken the digital camera by dropping it earlier...Oopsy!
But the bonus was I had put faces on 2 out of 3 of them so I'm already ahead with my 10 things to do woohoo!

My first BNS on Etsy

Woohoo! My First BNS!
For everyone who doesn't know (and I only recently understood the concept), a BNS or buy and stay is a treasury list to promote sellers.
Its held in a number of rounds, and some have different rules with minimum buys etc. But basically you buy something from one of the shops listed and then post a comment listing the transaction id and the shop name. And then your shop gets a turn in the next round. Simple.

I made a treasury!

Free Gift!!

Ok so to celebrate my birthday, throughout August I will be giving a blank ACEO card inside one of my envelopes, with every purchase on my etsy store... Gems Menagerie or click the store widget on the right...
A bit of a crap free gift I hear some of you cry...Well fear not theres another part to this. When you get your order with the blank ACEO I will also include my email address so once you've created your fabulous ACEO, just email me a pic with any links to etsy stores, or your own blog and I will be more than happy to post a blog entry here for you! And don't worry it won't take me as long as my last post to write it!

Piet Mondrian

This is a sneaky post really to plug my etsy shop because I have just made an ACEO (2.5" x 3.5") in the style of Mondrian. And even the simplicity of his images is very hard to do, getting straight edges for starters, drives me crazy. But the effects are amazing. When I saw the image of the Mondrian Building above I thought it was a museum of Mondrian's work but I'm not sure I think it may just be someone's house. I wonder if hubby would let us do it to ours? I doubt it.
And considering Mondrian died it 1944 its great how his paintings are fresh and exciting even today.

ACEO's are now available and I'm loving them all, its so much fun to do! So enjoy the ACEO goodness!

Seems Like Forever

Crikey it feels like I haven't written anything in ages,well if you've noticed I've added a few more widgets, (did it all by myself, hubby didn't have to help me once).
Oh and there's a few more cards in my etsy shop, hopefully I'll add the new ones tonight if I don't get sidetracked again. I keep finding more and more widgets and think ooh they would look so nice on my page but then no one would read anything because it would just take too long to load so for now I'm all widget-ed out.
I've been busy working on cards, trying to get the house tidy, but it's a tough job with our daughter following me around and undoing all my good work. I've also applied for a job, only part time but good wages and I really hope I get it but will know for sure by the end of February so fingers crossed again...
I'm also thinking about maybe using artfire I've heard nothing but good things and if I only want to sell 10 things at a time its free membership, which is good to keep costs to a minimum.
Other than that I have a ton of drawings our daughter has made to scan in ready for the next family art Friday, I just wish I had some use for them because if I put them up there will be no walls left anywhere in our house. Any suggestions??
Oh and I was tagged and I still haven't finished writing that one, I'm so dull I can't think of 6 things yet but I'm still working on it...

First Sale

Well I've done it Yay!!! I've made my first sale on etsy, I'm very excited. Now all I have to do is get more greetings cards done so I will have more to sell. I'll be sleeping happily tonight, not necessarily well but that will have more to do with the kids hehe.

7th December Already

Well we have 17 days left until the big day well 18 if you want to include Christmas day in the count and just a few more gifts left to buy.

Well today the kids and I walked all the way to Asda and back for some shopping, its Sunday and the low floor buses don't run so I'm glad I decided to walk home and not sit and wait at the bus stop, anyway I digress...We bought some more chocolates for under the tree, pjs and colouring books for hubby's friends daughter, (had to get a couple of colouring books for our daughter too), kids are so good at pressure buying hehe...Had a check in the book section managed to get eclipse for my sister, so only need to get the other three twilight books from somewhere, and bought some bubble bath and bath scrunchies to finish off the toiletry baskets I'm doing for relatives, I think next year I'll be using etsy for that because there are so many wonderful shops on there, and I'll be getting it all done even earlier, just so I don't forget anyone.

Just gotta wait now for the calendars to come, which I will do again next year also getting them done early so I can save even more cash on getting the super slow delivery, and also sort out the diarys early as I'm wondering if I'm leaving those a little too late for this year.

But first things first I have to find or make a nasty Xmas jumper pattern so I can make the four of us matching jumpers for Christmas day...That would be so good.
